Welcome to Kenyatta University School of Environmental Studies
We are living in the century whereby environmental pressures such as global warming, ozone depletion, pollution, climate change, over exploitation of natural resources, altered land use and loss of biodiversity – coincide with a growing world population that needs food and an acceptable standard of living. The complex nature of these environmental problems can be best understood and addressed through studies that cross traditional academic disciplinary boundaries. This applies to studies of both global-scale processes as well as those that occur at the local level.
