MASTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

Entry requirements 

Holders of Bachelor of Environmental Planning and Management, Environment Studies; Environmental Studies (Planning and Management), Urban and Regional Planning. Bachelor of Science/Arts in Geography, Economics, Surveying, Geometrics and Geospatial Sciences, Land Economics, Building Economics, Estate Management, Housing Technology. Engineering, Sociology, Agriculture Forestry and Wildlife, Zoology or Botany. Bachelor of Architecture and Law. 
Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade "C" and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.


MASTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE PROGRAMME

Entry Requirements 

The common regulations for Masters Degrees in the University shall apply. The general regulations for all Masters Degrees in the School of Environmental Studies shall apply. The following shall be eligible for admission to pursue the Master of Environmental Science degree course: 

  • A holder of Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in 
  • Environmental Science, Environmental Education, Geography, Geology, Meteorology, Physical Science, Biological Sciences Technology, Agriculture or Engineering.
  • Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade "C" and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.

 MASTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (AGROFORESTRY AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT)

Entry Requirement 

The common regulations for the Masters Degree in the University shall apply. The common regulations for the Masters degree in the Faculty of environmental Studies shall apply. The following shall be eligible for registration for the Master of environmental Studies in Agro- forestry and Rural Development. 

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Environmental Science Environmental Education, Geography, Geology, Meteorology, Physical Science, Biological Sciences Technology, Agriculture or Engineering.
  • Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade "C" and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.

MASTER OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT)

Entry Requirements 

Holders of Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Environmental Studies and related disciplines such as Geography, Natural Resources 
Management, Agricultural Sciences, Biological and Physical Sciences, Urban & Regional Planning, Development Studies, from Kenyatta University or any other recognized university. 
Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade "C" and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.


 MASTER OF SCIENCE (ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION)

Entry Requirements
The common regulations for admission into the Masters Degrees in the University shall apply. 
The common regulations for admission into the Masters degrees in the School of Environmental Studies and Human Sciences shall apply. The following shall be eligible for admission the Mas-ter of Science (Environmental Education) programme:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or equivalent  from a recognized university in Environmental Education, Education, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Agriculture, Biophysical Sciences and Social Sciences.
  • Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they have Grade "C" and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization. 

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Environmental Planning and Management)
Entry Requirements :Master's Degree in a relevant area of study from Kenyatta University or any other recognized institution of higher learning

Certification :Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Planning and Management) :Pass mark 50% mean score

Level 900 :ESC 900: Ph.D Thesis


 DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Environmental Science)

Entry Requirements :Master's Degree in a relevant area of study from Kenyatta University or any other recognized institution of higher learning

Certification :Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Science);

  • Pass mark 50% mean score

Level 900 :ESC 900: Ph.D Thesis


 DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Environmental Studies)

Entry Requirements :Master's Degree in a relevant area of study from Kenyatta University or any other recognized institution of higher learning

Certification :Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Studies) :Pass mark 50% mean score

Level 900 :ESC 900: Ph.D Thesis
